Dandelion is herbaceous plant that can reach up to 17 inches in height. The dandelion stem is hollow and the green leaves are about 2 to 10 inch long. The dandelion leaves also form a rosette at the base of the stem. Dandelion has a yellow-orange flower that consists of a large number of individual, miniature flowers known as ray florets. The white puffy top of the dandelion flower contain a large number of seeds called 'achenes', which are actually dry frits and technically not seeds.
