Leontodon Hispidus

Leontodon is a genus of dandelion-like plants in the family Asteraceae (Compositae), commonly known as "Hawkbits". Many Leontodon Species are often mistaken for the true dandelion (taraxacum officinale) because of its similarity in appearance. One such species are the Hawkbits such as Leontodon Taraxacoides and Leontodon Hispidus. The seeds of Leontodon species are an important food source for certain bird species. Their English name derives from the mediaeval belief that hawks ate the plant to improve their eyesight.   Source-Wikipedia
